BARBARA K. SIMKOWSKI - Education Director

With a master's degree in education from Harvard, Barbara directed the adult and community education programs for the public schools in Newton (executive director) and Brookline (assistant director). She was also the assistant director of the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. She served for a year as co-president of the parents-Teacher Organization of the Pierce Elementary School in Brookline, as a board member of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra, and as a writer with the Boston Theater Group.

NANCY SOFEN - Office Administrator & Bookkeeper

Nancy has degrees in chemistry from Colgate University and Brandeis University and was a research chemist at Polaroid and Johnson&Johnson. A passionate gardener and landscaper, she more recently worked tending the formal gardens at Mass Audubon's Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont. She has volunteered extensively in the Lexington Public Shools, including board membership on FOLMADS (Friends of Lexington Music, Art and Drama Students) and the LHS Landscaping Committee, and served in several lay leadership roles at Follen Church in Lexington.
