Illuminating Lexington!
Saturday - January 11, 2025
Join us to bring light during the deep, dark time of winter & to celebrate our 250th anniversary spirit.
Saturday night kicks off two weeks of illuminations along our Cultural District from East Lexington through to Worthen Rd. We are making plans To gather in Depot Square (Emery Park) for hot chocolate and a campfire (weather permitting), a giant interactive Lite Brite, projection mapping, and an activity to partake in creating a public art sculpture to also decorate town for the coming weeks. As we gather with our lights, we will commemorate the event by making a community star formation that is documented with a drone photo.
In advance of this, we will be offering free lantern-making workshops led by us and our partner organizations!
Stay tuned for sign-up details here in December.
