Vacation Arts Programs

Let ArtSpan’s Vacation and Summer Arts Program inspire your child’s imagination as we have fun creating and exploring different cultures and themes in an interdisciplinary arts environment. Each week a new theme unites ceramics, painting, drawing, music, drama, and non-competitive sports and games with a fully integrated age-appropriate curriculum. Every week, kids make new friends, develop their creativity and gain confidence through sharing and cooperation. Fridays are a culmination of all of the week’s activities as parents and families are invited to our informal “Share” performance where students present all they’ve accomplished at ArtSpan that week. Kids are grouped according to age as well as individual needs. To accommodate your family’s busy summer schedule, you may sign up for as many weeks as you like. This program is for young people ages 5-11.

Our staff consists of teachers trained in their specific area of the arts, and our counselors are selected for their artistic talents as well as their experience working with kids. Some are previous campers!

Our CIT Program (Counselor in Training), available in the summer, introduces younger teens, age 12 to 14, to a new level of arts involvement by assisting and participating in the summer’s activities under the direct supervision of our CIT Supervisor. CITs engage in teambuilding skills by working together on collaborative art
projects and gain leadership skills by planning and initiating
camp activities. CITs also take weekly day trips to local art
institutions to view and discuss art exhibitions.

RexWhat would it be like to have a dinosaur as a pet? Would it eat you? Would a vegetarian dinosaur be easy to feed? Do we know what colors the dinosaurs really were, or can we only guess? Maybe we can design our own dinosaurs, as the dinosaurs' fossil remains reveal creatures every bit as fantastic as anything we could ever make up. Come make dinosaurs, learn about dinosaurs, become dinosaurs, and share in all sorts of dinosaur lore.
