About the Summer Program
Let ArtSpan's Summer Program inspire your child's imagination as we have fun creating and exploring different cultures and themes in an integrated arts environment. Each week a different theme unites ceramics, painting and drawing, music and movement, drama and non-competitive sports and games with a fully integrated age appropriate curriculum. Every week, children make new friends, develop their creativity, and gain confidence through sharing and cooperation. Each week culminates on Fridays when parents and families are invited to our Share performance and tour art exhibits created by the campers. Sign up for 1 week, 2 weeks, or as many as you would like!
Our staff consists of teachers experienced and trained in their special area of the arts. Our counselors are selected for their artistic talents as well as their experience in childcare. ArtSpan has a full time Education Director, Program Coordinator/Health Supervisor, and Executive Director.
The C.I.T. Program (Counselor in Training) introduces younger teens (ages 12 14) to a new level of arts involvement by assisting and participating in the summer's activities under the supervision of our C.I.T. Supervisor. C.I.T.s engage their team building skills by working together on group art projects, gain leadership skills by planning and initiating different camp activities and also go on day trips to local art institutions.
We hope you choose to join us this summer!
