Turn 2D designs to 3D pieces in this class focusing on hand-built slab forms. Embellish with texture, patterns, and other surface treatments to create unique functional and sculptural work. Don’t worry, the potter’s wheel will be incorporated for those folks who can’t get enough throwing. All ages and levels are welcome!

Intensive Painting Study: Oil and Acrylic Techniques for the Experienced Painter

A masterclass for painters who want to specifically address the following skills: Drawing as a necessity for better paintings; moving from a known palette; adding line as element directly into paint; applying paint with brushstrokes and palette knife with a new-found exuberance; moving away from your regular routine to dive into a deeper practice; and discussing your work/opening verbal doors to further self-exploration.
Ceramics: Exploring Possibilities

Join us to create functional ceramics using both hand-building and potter’s wheel techniques. Through weekly demonstrations, students will learn foundational glazing techniques while creating both functional and decorative pottery.

Ceramics: Developing Personal Aesthetic

“Drawing is not what one sees but what one can make others see.” -Edgar Degas Join us for an evening class of drawing and painting the human figure. We will work with a model each session and support will be provided as needed by the instructor. We’ll move through short gestural sketching and process exercises (continuous line, handedness-switching, blind drawing), toward more sustained poses. All levels and media welcome.
