Sample projects throughout the day in drawing/painting, ceramics, and a multi-media makerspace. Students can utilize their imagination to experiment with new textures in clay or paint, create 2D or 3D creatures, and even use recycled/found materials to make great art.
Students should bring a water bottle, as well as non-refrigerated food for snack and lunch breaks throughout the day; there will also be a brief recess break for activities and games.

Light Painting
Grades 2nd - 4th
4:30 PM - 6 PM
Mon (4/21) - Fri (4/25)
$132
Explore the intersection of photography, art, and science, through the technique of light painting. This program will provide a fun and educational introduction to the magic of capturing motion and light. By beginning with different shapes, students can experiment with light source manipulation through dynamic strokes of handheld lights. After teaching basic techniques through hands-on activities, students will create a collaborative still image by the end of the week. This program is led by artist Shehab Hossain, whose work is on display as part of Munroe Center's Nocturnal Reveal gallery show until mid-March.

Shehab Hossain is a visual artist specializing in urban night photography and light painting. His craft is making photos of his light painting strokes in urban environments.
