ARTSPAN SUMMER CAMP FAQ

Summer camp is currently being planned for the weeks from  July 13 to August 28.

ArtSpan  is currently looking at options for onsite, and online camp possibilities.  While what this really looks like hinges on  more guidance from local and state authorities, we want to address some of our families' questions in the meantime.

Q:  What happens if I register for onsite camp, and then only an online version is available because of government regulations?

A:  If you register for onsite camp and only an online version is possible, which you are not interested in, then either a future credit to another ArtSpan class or a refund will be applied. In this case, we will provide all information needed at that point for a smooth transition to an online version.

Q:  Will there be a difference in price for online versus onsite camp?

A:  There will be a difference in price. The exact numbers are still being worked through, and will be made available as we have the logistics finalized in the coming month.

Q:  Will there be extended day options?

A: At this time we have decided to not have an extended day option due to possible changes in our daily schedule as it relates to social distancing needs.

Q:  Can I get a refund if the community health situation changes?

A:  Absolutely! A full refund would be available. We are strongly encouraging people to look into applying any tuition not being used as a future credit, but will provide a hassle-free refund if desired.

Q:  If camp is onsite, what protocols will be put in place for preventing infection?

A:  Measures will be taken for social distancing, PPEs, and enhanced hygiene - more details will be provided once state and local guidelines have been made public. Some things we are looking into are personal bags for materials as well as several new sanitation stations.

Q:  If camp is online, how long will children be in front of a screen?

A: At ArtSpan we completely value and encourage outdoor time. With this in mind a lot of our virtual assignments will also have an outdoor component such as gathering inspirational colors from the world around us to using materials in nature to create the paint brushes that will be used in the project.

Q:  If camp is onsite, will campers be inside all day?

A:  ArtSpan campers always have plenty of outside time! This year we are additionally looking into ways to safely and professionally have a few of our classes run outside to limit the amount of time inside in closer conditions.

Q:  How can campers use community art supplies in a safe way?

A:  Sanitize. Sanitize. Sanitize.  We will be sanitizing all materials students will using throughout the day as well as providing individual material bags for each student to limit as crossing of germs from one camper to the next.
