More and more we are hearing about the health benefits of the arts.  It's hard to miss the uplifting experiences we see here all the time - from creative exploration and self-expression, to being around others who share your interests, the empowerment of learning and in many cases mastering a skill, or simply having fun.  We hope that if you are reading this you know first-hand what we mean.

But second to that, below are some samples of research and testimonials that support what we do as a community arts center.

TESTIMONIALS
  • I have worked at Lexington Music School at the Munroe Center for the Arts for the last 12 years and I can honestly say that I look forward to walking through these doors every single day.  - Atheane Waite

  • Thanks for organizing all the wonderful creative projects around town. It not only makes the town beautiful and welcoming, it also shows us all that there is a place for art and creativity within our community. - Shubra Chandra

  • We have experienced the magic of this precious place first hand, and have had the opportunity to pay it forward and give back a bit. Personal and professional development and fulfillment through the arts happen at MCA on a daily basis. For our youth, lifelong love and appreciation for the arts, as well as livelihoods and careers are launched from MCA. For our older residents, MCA offers the ability to sustain hobbies, interests and social ties. - Pamela Rice

  • Munroe is an asset in the community! It is one of the most important sources of art education and community connection for our family. At Munroe, my son learned the piano and the cello from the amazing teachers, and my daughter discovered her love for pottery. More importantly, they found their passion for music and arts and the spirit of humanics that will keep them centered for the rest of their life. I’m grateful for Munroe for the many wonderful teachers and staff we have met here, who we now proudly call friends. They have provided such a welcoming and supportive environment for a new immigrant like me in the community. MCA is undoubtedly a magnet, attracting residents to find out more about ourselves, to discover the beauty and power of arts, and the town- Hua Dong
