FY20 FUNDING PRIORITIES: Building Improvements Building Improvements was recognized by the MCA Development Committee as one of the funding priorities for FY20. The MCA rents the Munroe School from the Town of Lexington with the understanding that we will take care of this building to the best of our abilities.
Each year, MCA students pay a Building Restoration Fee that helps to build our coffers to take care of our 1905 building. In the past four years, this fee has helped us to put in place a new parking lot, put on a new roof, as well as to install insulation in the attic and heat wiring on the roof to prevent ice dams.
As we move forward, we thank all the individuals who have been part of this effort, and look to donors to help us with future goals to maintain our building. Among other things, we are currently working hard on planning for the restoration of 121 windows, looking into making all three floors accessible to all staff and visitors, painting the back and eaves of the building, and repairing the gutters.
To help make these projects a reality, we welcome all donations large and small!
