MONDAYS
Hand-building and Wheel 
3:30pm – 5:00pm (Grades 4-6; 3rd graders who have previously taken a clay class are welcome to join) 
9 Mondays, 4/9 – 6/18 (no class 4/16 & 5/28) $185/Materials Fee: $18 
Carmela Goguen Fratus 
Explore 3D design in clay through use of the pottery wheel as well as hand-building techniques. This class practices cooperation, studio responsibilities, group critique and individual experimentation in a relaxing, fun environment. Class may include other media for the final project. 

Drawing in Pen and Ink 4:30pm – 6:00pm (Grades 5-7) 
9 Mondays, 4/9 – 6/18 (no class 4/16 & 5/28) $185 
Anastasia Semash This course is designed for intermediate students who are familiar with basic drawing and shading techniques. Students will be introduced to main techniques of line drawing, hatching, and cross-hatching using different kinds of pens. We’ll create shades and washes with liquid India ink, and also learn how to render various textures such as wood, foliage, animal fur and more. These skills will be practiced when drawing trees, still life, architecture and animals. Students will be led to create a range of works from realism to abstraction.

Art Exploratorium

Try out new ideas and materials, make new connections between real life and imagination, and learn some drawing and painting methods while exploring a wide variety of techniques and materials such as paint, fabric, and natural materials... Be an Art Explorer! 

Beginning Drawing 4:30pm – 6:00pm 
9 Tuesdays 4/10 – 6/12 (no class 4/17) 
(Grades 2-5)

Students will be introduced to an array of drawing techniques such as hatching and shading, as well as the primary elements of art such as shapes, forms, lines, and textures. With common drawing materials (pencils, charcoal, markers, and oil pastels), students will shift between themes such as animals, houses, people, and natural elements in their environment. 

Kids Clay Lab 
3:30pm – 5:00pm 
9 Tuesdays 4/10 – 6/12 (no class 4/17) 
(Grades 1-5)

Have fun with clay in a social, child-friendly atmosphere. Kids will learn basic hand-building techniques to create functional or whimsical sculptures in clay with glazing. Kids will exercise creativity and imagination in a small group setting with plenty of individual attention.

WEDNESDAYS
Artful Mornings for Little Ones 
10:00am – 12:00pm (18 mos-4 yrs.) 
5 Wednesdays 4/11 – 5/16 (no class 4/18) $20 Drop in; $85/5 Class Pass

Join your pre-schooler in weekly creative explorations without needing to commit to a multi-week class. A new theme will be offered each week, with several stations to explore and create in each time! With a mix of fun projects and open-ended explorations, your little one will be encouraged to experiment, discover, learn, and get messy! 

Theatre-Makers! 
3:30pm – 5:30pm (Grades 3-6) 
9 Wednesdays 4/11 – 6/13 (no class 4/18) $206 
Jessica Going 
Come learn how to make a play! Students will work together to adapt a popular folktale into a show. From creating a script to picking costumes and sets, we will learn exactly what goes into putting on a play and present it for friends and family on the final day of class.

​Silkscreening 
4:00pm – 6:00pm (Grades 7-12)

Marco Kienle 
This class provides an in-depth look at the application and possibilities of silkscreen printing, both on textiles and paper. Students will explore their own artistic interests while learning about the process. The process lends itself to fine art work as well as more commercial applications such as printing on t-shirts and other textiles. No prior experience necessary.

Leave your computer behind and join the popular role playing class that everyone’s talking about! Create your own character and explore the DC Universe in this exciting, imaginative, dice-based adventure. New players welcome! 

In Your Hands: Drawing & Painting Studio for Teens 
Laurel Smith

This popular class offers students who are exploring their drawing and painting skills an opportunity to join a group where technical instruction is balanced with pursuit of independent artistic goals. We will work with observational skills, use of expressive line, color and composition fundamentals, as well as new techniques and materials that may be introduced or invented to support individual projects. All media are encouraged.
