Students learn fundamentals of handbuilding and wheel throwing. The class begins with handbuilding and a focus on shape and texture using different clay bodies and glazes. Later demonstrations introduce simple, consistent forms on the pottery wheel. Students also learn studio-use guidelines and cooperation.
