Friday Pottery
Wine & Pottery with Donna Pioli
Ages 21+, $45 per student with class limited to 9
*Students choose a glaze for up to 3 pieces. Pieces can be picked up 3 weeks from class.
October 11 and November 15; 6:30pm – 8:30pm
It’s Friday night at the ArtSpan clay studio! Join us in sipping and creating clay projects in a relaxed
and fun group where both beginner and experienced students create while under the guidance of a
seasoned instructor. Come dressed to make a mess! BYOB.
Saturday Workshops
Art Exploratorium with Joanne Stowell
Ages 6-10, $25 per class
Oct 12, Nov 9, & Dec 14, 10am – 12pm
Dive into the limitless wonders of our new creativity lab! Discover connections between real life and
imagination through the exploration of new ideas and materials. Paint, paper, model magic,
natural materials, wires, buttons, fabric, and much more will be integrated.
Saturday Family Pottery with Carmela Fratus
$30 per adult, $20 for first child, $15 for any additional children; $5 materials fee
*Students choose a glaze for up to 3 pieces. Pieces can be picked up 3 weeks from workshop date.
Oct 19 & Oct 26, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Kids bring your grown-up(s) to a Saturday morning class in the pottery studio. We’ll learn about how
pottery is made while we create our own wonderful artwork. Wear an apron because you might want
to try out the potter’s wheel.
Basic Acrylics with Jill Pottle
$50
October 19, 9:30am – 4pm
In this workshop we will use the principles of composition, design, and color theory to explore painting in
acrylics. Throughout the day, artist’s will experience the vast visual changes this medium offers. Students
will work from still life, landscapes, and portraits. The instructor will provide demos, critiques, and historical
references. All levels welcome with some drawing experience required. There will be a half-hour lunch break.
Clay as Canvas
Painterly Techniques with Underglazes with Peg Kane
$35
November 16, 10am – 2pm
This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the use of underglazes to create multi-layered and colorful
imagery. Bring sketches, photos, and other sources of inspiration to work from. Practicing on ready made
tiles, Boston-based artist, Peg Kane, will share her unique and joyful approach to art-making in this
wonderful new class.
Gelli Printing Stationery/Card Making with Marina Strauss
$20 per adult and $10 per child
November 16, 4pm – 6:30pm
Join us for an evening filled with music, laughter, and creating. Printmaker and professional art therapist,
Marina Strauss, will guide you through the process of gelli printing (a modern-day version of monoprinting).
There will be a demonstration followed by one-on-one guidance. Explore the possibilities as
you make stationary and your own holiday cards. All ages are welcome, but children under
12 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials provided.

Restore and Create
Anna Maria: Certified Yoga Instructor
Marina Strauss: Licensed Art Therapist

Sunday October 20, 9:30am -11:30am
Spend a morning rejuvenating the mind, body, and artistic spirit. Studies have shown that participating
in yoga can relax the mind and stimulate the flow of creativity. In this guided workshop the first hour
will be spent in a gentle flow yoga class with art enthusiast and yoga instructor, Anna Maria. During the
second hour we will excersise our creative side with professional art therapist Marina Strauss.
