Using a photo only as a reference and starting point, students are encouraged to take chances and break through fears about painting. Guided exercises explore cropping, invented color, composition, value control, dynamic brushwork, and color power. For intermediate or advanced oil or acrylic painters. Each class includes a demonstration, exercise, and critique.
