Monday Youth Ceramics
Grades 4 - 8
Mondays, 4 - 5:30PM
September 18 - November 27 (no class 9/25 & 10/9)
Instructor - Nat Moss
$326 ( + $40 Materials Fee)
Students will begin by learning hand-building techniques to create from their imagination. Pottery wheel demonstrations will follow, giving an introduction to wheel-throwing fundamentals. This class explores topics of form, texture, patterns, and glazing, while teaching basic studio responsibilities and cooperation. Projects are both functional as well as sculptural. All experience levels welcome!

This class gives younger students a chance to experiment with squishing, rolling, and pounding out clay into fun and functional ceramic pieces. Kids will learn the value of expressing creativity through 3D artmaking, develop fine motor skills, and establish clean-up habits. An apron/smock is not required but good for clean-up. All experience levels welcome!
