MAKE YOUR OWN LANTERN TO BRING!
Illumination Night will finish with a drone photo of everyone and their lanterns.  Bring your own or make one with us in the week before.
There will be Take & Make Lantern Kits @ Munroe (in the Little Free Art Library at the front corner of the building) and Cary Library. 
​For more DIY fun, create an ice lantern using our ice lantern instructions.

Sign up above for a workshop to make your own lantern to bring to Saturday's Illumination Night!  Or pick up a Take & Make Lantern from Cary Library, or the Little Free Library at Munroe Arts
  • Monday:  Square Lanterns
  • Tuesday:  Cylindrical Lanterns
  • Wednesday:  Globe Lanterns
  • Thursday:  Free-form Shaped Lanterns

January 10, Saturday - 4:30 to 6:30pm
EMERY PARK @ 10 DEPOT SQUARE, LEXINGTON MA
Bring your lantern and kick off the celebrations with a fun evening of illuminated art & activities.
  • Get a portrait photo with an illuminated "spirograph" shape background
  • Play with the giant light pegs to create interesting designs
  • Sip a hot chocolate, or nibble on some Tanghulu by the campfire
  • Visit the Martin Luther King Jr Week of Activities table to learn about the events beginning on January 12
  • Test your skill at illuminated hula hoops!  (it's dark, no one will know it's you)
  • Enjoy the animated stories and display projected onto the Depot Building
  • Shine your lantern (or cell phone flashlight even) and be part of the community photo taken by a drone camera
  • Join the procession down to Town Hall where the VO25 Volunteer Arch will get another illumination

Celebrate a week's worth of MLK activities, including the Artists in Protest evening.
