Demonstrations are primarily in oil paint but students are encouraged to work in any medium: acrylic, drawing, gouache, water color.

Sgraffito Techniques -
Surface Design in Clay
Adults
Saturday, April 10 12:00pm-4:00pm
Instructor - Celia Feldberg
$48
Sgraffito, meaning ‘toscratch’ in Italian, is the process of applying a slip or underglaze to an unfired piece, then carving through it to reveal the contrasting clay color beneath. After experimenting with different methods of drawing on clay this has become the primary method that Celia currently uses in her
work. "It’s simple, you can get really nice line qualities, and it feels similar to drawing with a pen on paper."
More about Celia and her work can be found on her website www.celiafeldberg.com
