Bikes, The Bikeway & Surrounds
The Munroe Center for the Arts will be holding a pubic reception from 7:30 - 8:30 on Friday, September 14, 2018 for the current gallery exhibit, “Bikes, Bikeway, and Surrounds”.
On display now is the work of 25 artist from the surrounding bikeway towns, and as far away as Tyngsboro, MA. A reception will be held with many of the artists and is open to the public. Stop by to see some of your favorite places along the bikeway recreated in a variety of artistic mediums from pencil, to photography. Also on display will be the collection of Haiku submitted by library patrons this summer, as well as the "On the Path" booklet created in 1994 by the 4th grade students of Stephen Levy. The artwork will remain on display through October.

This show happens in coordination with the 25th anniversary of the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway on September 29th. Additional bikeway celebrations include a public lecture on this rail trail’s history, a commemorative booklet “On the Path” with research from the 1997 Bowman 4th grade class, and by official proclamation: Minuteman Commuter Bikeway Day with many events on Saturday, September 29.
