Walking Labyrinth

Walking labyrinth designs are steeped in ancient lore, with historical stories more fulsome than the space available here can adequately relate.  They have been used as a vehicle for meditation and are thought to increase right brain activity.  What could be more perfect for an arts center?

The concept of a walking labyrinth at Munroe was conceived by our executive director as a way to slow down and still the mind to enhance the creative process (or in some cases, to just get some energy out before settling into a class!).  This idea was born into reality when Ella Mattingly took on the challenge of designing and building a labyrinth as part of her Eagle Scout project in late November 2020.

The labyrinth can be found in the field behind Munroe, in the back corner for all to enjoy.
