Join us for a calming morning in our art space (rm. 222) to create a small hand-stitched piece on new or recycled fabrics!

• ​​This workshop will provide an introduction to hand-stitching in a relaxed environment
• Instruction will include guidance on basic stitches like the running stitch, along with discussions of traditional Japanese boro stitching as an elevated form of recycling/mending fabrics
• Suitable for artists, artmakers, crafters of any experience levels - this workshop is formatted for adult (18+ students)

• Led by Ann Bausman, with all materials provided, including embroidery thread, needles, and fabric
• Participants are asked to bring their own fabric scissors and a container/bag for small items. Spare used/vintage fabrics brought from home are encouraged but not necessary, to experiment with combining materials, textures, and colors
