Munroe Center Stage has been temporarily suspended after a 10 year run. During the pandemic we lost both our audience and committee members. While we would love to see this program build back up again, we first need passionate community members interested in supporting its mission: supporting and cultivating area artists in an experimental, entertaining, and intimate environment.

Munroe Center Stage (MCS) offers a changing schedule of seasonal arts events, largely based around the performance arts.
The MCS MISSION is to support and cultivate area artists in an experimental, entertaining, and intimate environment
The MCS vision is to provide a stage for new and upcoming performers and to provide affordable and inspirational entertainment for our local community. MCS has been host to such things as staged play readings, choral groups, cultural dance performances, Broadway show tunes plus jazz, folk and classical music, poetry readings and more!
HISTORY
MCS began as Munroe Saturday Nights in 2011 with 7 shows in music, poetry, and improv. These performances were organized by a volunteer committee of the MCA board, and held in the visual arts room at the Munroe Center for the Arts. Later on, the Board approved funds to hire a coordinator. Deb Weiner organized the committee and productions until 2018 when Ana Gregoire took the reins.
The coordinator and volunteer team worked with local performers to organize monthly events. They also worked with local organizations to produce fundraisers for social justice concerns. To accommodate its growth of larger audiences and 10 annual performances, MSN moved its shows to Lexington’s First Parish Church.
In 2019, the MSN team changed its name to MUNROE CENTER STAGE to better reflect its offerings. As it got ready to celebrate its 10th year anniversary in 2020, the Pandemic hit and programs went virtual. Attendance diminished and the program was paused.
