CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
We offer classes and workshops for youth and adults in a variety of techniques and methods including printing on clay, fabric and with our press. All levels of experience and background are welcome. Aging Artfully is our monthly printmaking workshop for seniors. |
ABOUT OUR STUDIO
We have an etching American French Tool Press, equipped with large bearings, solid steel rolls, and a 30" x 48" bed. Also in our studio is a tabletop Monotype 22 Press. This 22" x 44" press requires less strength to operate, and is perfect for lighter pressure printmaking. The printmaking studio utilizes non-toxic materials. |

Wednesdays 10AM-12:30 PM February 11 - March 4 (partial semester) Instructor - Stephanie Stigliano $214 + $25 materials fee This partial semester class will introduce students to the creation of tessellations using relief printmaking techniques. Tessellations, such as in MC Escher’s artwork, involve the creation of pattern and design through repetition. By carving shapes in linocut blocks, students can produce a repeatable pattern with seamless transitions. Students can customize their own fabrics with these patterns, but must provide their own fabric to print on; the instructor will provide details and suggestions during the first class. |
