Saturday Family Clay Class
with Ellie House
$61/$20 material fee per person
4 Saturdays, 4/18 – 5/9, 10am – 12pm
(Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.)
Kids bring your parent(s) to a Saturday morning class in the pottery studio. We’ll learn
about how pottery is made while we create our own wonderful artwork. Wear an apron
because you might want to try out the potter’s wheel!
Majolica Workshop
with Liz Noonan
$64 per person/materials fee $25
Saturday, April 25, 11am – 3pm
Majolica is a traditional style of tin-glazed earthenware that became especially popular in
Italy during the Renaissance. Guest Artist, Liz Noonan, will share her modern take on this
classic process in this special one-day workshop.Learn the interesting history of majolica technique
and try your hand on ready made pieces. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch.
4-Week Theatre Workshop
with Bruno Barbuto
Grades 2-6
$99 per child
4 Saturdays, 5/2 – 5/30 (no class 5/9), 12pm – 2pm
Students will select a 2-3 person scene from a short list of plays and musicals. Over the first
three sessions, students will learn and rehearse the scene, while learning and testing
out new skills. The 4th class will be a performance that family and friends are invited to.
Two-Day Raku Workshop
with Visiting Artist Mike Roche
$120/$25 materials fee
Tues, May 26, 5:30pm – 8:30pm and Sat, June 6, 10am – 4pm
(Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)
Join us for this rare opportunity to learn about raku, a Japanese based firing process in which
work is removed from a hot kiln and placed in a reduction chamber of combustible
materials. Pieces will be created on May 26 and fired on June 6th. Size and number of pieces
may be limited due to kiln size.
