Camelot and Camelittle
Ages 10 - 14
3:30pm - 5:30pm
Monday - Friday
$320
Come battle melodramatic lizards and form a new queendom alongside magical creatures outside the walls of Camelot! During these two weeks young actors will work to put on a one act production of Camelot and Camelittle, a re-telling of the classic knights of the round table. Through direction students will learn and work to put a show together from start to end, and will be encouraged to voice opinions on their visions for characters and blocking. Students will also learn about the thoughts behind other theatrical areas like directing, stage management, and scenic design. Additionally, students will learn the basics of staged combat and movement through professional instruction from Boston Based Fight Director Lauren Squier in order to bring safe choreography to battle these dragons!

Meet the Teacher:
Lauren Squier is a New England area based theatre artist and educator with a focus in Fight Direction and Stage Management. They also work as a freelance stagehand and enjoy getting to work with the traveling companies that come through Boston. They found a passion for theatre in high school that led them to attend Emerson College where they graduated in 2018. During their time at Emerson they found a love for working with kids and producing work for young audiences. After graduation they spent two years working for Chamber Theatre Productions, a national touring theatre for young audiences company, and have freelanced around Mass. and Maine alongside various theatre companies and camps. I am thrilled to be joining Munroe Center for the Arts this summer! Select credits include: Julius Caesar, (Actors’ Shakespeare Project, Fight Director), Bulrusher (Emerson Stage, Fight Director), Coriolanus (Praxis Stage, Featured Combatant/Ensemble), Traitor: A Culper Spy Story (Independent Film, Stunt Double/Coordinator), See You Yesterday (Global Arts Corps, Stage Manager), & Orlando Generoso (Boston Early Music Festival, ASM).
