The Lexington Players
The Lexington Players was founded in 1995 as the town’s only theater group. We began as The Munroe Players but changed the name of the group to The Lexington Players to represent our town. Over the years, we have expanded the numbers of our productions from two to four, including YouthStage, our summer drama program for children. We also provide periodic training classes including our workshop for New Directors. After a three month workshop, members plan, audition, cast, and direct one act plays for our season.
Over the past 15 years, The Lexington Players has created the Women's Dance Ensemble and the YouthStage Summer Drama Program. Our Women’s Dance Ensemble, which has produced 3 successful productions, and is currently on creative hiatus, but our YouthStage group continues to thrive. For over 20 years Munroe Center for the Arts has provided us with a space to rehearse and form our theater company, that has its shows in various locations in Lexington, MA.
