Two-Part Workshop
Clay Lantern Workshop with Ellie House
$35 with a $5 material fee
Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 26th, 11am – 1pm
Light up a winter evening with your very own, handbuilt, clay lantern. In this two-part workshop,
you will first learn how to construct a mini lantern that will be suitable for both indoors and out and can hold a tea
light or candle. During our second meeting we will learn different ways to enhance our project with glazes.
All pieces will be fired and ready to take home two weeks after the second meeting. All ages welcome.
One Day Workshops
Introduction to Silkscreening
$25 with a $5 material fee
Saturday January 25, 4pm – 6:30pm
Join us for a creative and fun-filled afternoon using stencils and inks to learn the process of silkscreening.
Create your own designs to then be applied to your choice of a t-shirt or tote bag.
Valentine Making Workshop
All ages welcome to this FREE workshop
(Children under 10 need to be accompanied by an adult.)
Sunday February 2, 2pm – 4pm
Make use of ArtSpans wonderful classroom filled with Valentine-making supplies. Bring a friend and
create cards for your classmates, friends, or loved ones.

Books priced to sell and all proceeds go towards our Artspan scholarship fund.

Saturday March 14, 10am – 1pm
Come explore the wide variety of used books ArtSpan has to offer.
We have books ranging from the history of art to children’s stories and much more in between.
There will be an artist and volunteers available to help teach ways of upcycling used books into a new and
beautiful piece of work. There will also be a place and supplies to give it a try yourself!

learn the nuts and bolts of the business of being a visual artist. Get practical tips on pricing your artwork,
creating email lists, business cards, exhibition announcements, taxes, gallery commissions, and more.
Lecture will be followed by a Q&A session.
Selling Your Art Online: Today, selling your artwork online can be highly effective and profitable.
With so many options out there, what is the best one for you? Find out in this lecture where you will learn how
to price your artwork, various platforms for selling, how to set up your shop, shipping details, marketing strategies,
presenting your artwork to maximize visibility, and more! Lecture will be followed by a Q&A session.
