In this class, we will think about making and using forms as vessels for personal narrative and storytelling. We will be incorporating coil, pinching, slabs, and even wheel-thrown techniques to expand reflections of our interests. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, as well as from drawings, imagination, and history, we will explore how the vessel form can lead to narrative, storytelling, and connection.
With a strong background in the human form, we will explore breaking things down from complex to simple to build upon and render what we see and experience, while incorporating your own perspective and vision.
