Carine Avakian - Painting allows me to share joy, and give joy, to people. My vehicle is mostly oil and primarily on canvas, with some work in acrylic. My artwork focuses in couple of areas - landscapes, still-work. The common thread through them all is that they're unique and special and worth capturing and sharing. Seeing a well-known setting from the perfect view or from a different perspective, drawing attention to an every-day object or a part of life that most people just walk by without a second's notice; and creating something completely new yet unknowingly familiar that anyone could describe differently and have speak to them uniquely - these are the ways in which I choose to share with the world.

I paint mainly out of photographs I take, and on occasion I paint au plain air.
Cora Pucci - For many years as a child I played with clay and created sculptures. In art school I was known as the clay girl. Then I discovered pottery and it was love at first sight. Many years later I started to study watercolor painting in order to be able to paint with glazes and underglazes on my pottery. That was quite an eye opener for me because I went from three dimensional art to two dimensional art. Then when I discovered Chinese painting and joined my current class, that was definitely love at first sight. Years later, when my teacher saw that I was a potter, he encouraged me to do Chinese painting on my pottery. So, now, the combined arts are so much a part of my work, that they have become my one major art work.

After graduating she worked at different theaters and was lucky enough to work at a camp teaching Set Design to young artists. Justine's work features birds painted or collaged on paper weavings of all kinds.
Karen Berman-Mulligan - I am a Lexington painter working in Acrylics on canvas
Karin Samatis - As a concept artist in advertising and design for many years, it took a while for me to find my artist voice as a fine artist. That is when I decided to start painting unusual objects and settings, from the colorful fruits and veggies from farmer's markets, the food my daughter a chef has prepared or my morning coffee in those tranquil settings as I travel. Sometimes taking all the fun of my whimsical illustration background into some of my more unusual paintings. Presently besides my love of painting, my day job as a sign artist for one the local Trader Joe's where my traditional illustration and concept art background flows easily into the traditional branding of the original sign art that is the trademark of all Trader Joe's stores.

For the last several years I have taken classes at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and have helped out with a pandemic era online Printmaking Without a Press Zoom class. She focuses on painting up the layers onto the canvas and as she does this, it delves deep into her essence, peeling back the layers of her consciousness. Slowly, shapes emerge, leading to a story that is deep and meaningful without filters and speaks differently, touching each viewer in unique ways.

After a while I became interested and more aware of the environment so I decided to go back to school and learn what I could about the world we live in. In 1998 I received a bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Science from Northeastern University. I am also a member of Artists for Conservation, and we believe that the role of the artists has changed. Today artists need to be in the forefront of the movement to make people aware that it’s up to all of us to save this planet. We just cannot go on destroying it. I started painting wildlife to remind everyone that if we don’t take care of what we have, soon the only animals left will be in zoos. She paints in acrylic or oil, uses palette knives, and keeps tempo to music in the background. Her work has been shown in solo and group shows.

Painting has taught me to see things in a different way, observing every detail more carefully and more consciously, distinguishing colors and shapes, and ultimately appreciating more deeply what I see.

I am originally from Pakistan, where I did a BFA from the National College of arts, where my major was miniature painting and my minor was oil painting. My current work is more large scale, a departure from the traditionally smaller sized miniature paintings, but I bring in the same elements of detail and precision in my larger pieces.

Susan Polansky - I can be found in my home studio in Lexington, working mostly on incredibly detailed fabric collage. That work is harmed by sunlight, so I've submitted mixed media instead, which I also enjoy making. I traveled frequently B.C. (Before Covid), but now I am very content to garden and spend time with my family. My husband and I are lucky to have a very close family - we get together for dinner and games at least once a week!
Tammy Rose - Tammy Rose is a visual artist and playwright. Several of her Mousetrap Sculptures are on permanent display at Java Studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Tieren Adams - I'm a senior this year at Lexington high school. I've worked with ceramics, drawing and painting throughout the past couple of years and some of my pieces have been displayed at the town hall, the high school, the high school art show, the regional high school art show, the town library and the Boston flower show.
Trelawney Goodell – As a photographer I look to see the ordinary in unusual ways.
Varsha Malghan - Accountant by profession and passionate art lover.
Yuka Goto - I'm gradually getting back to oil painting after a long break. Being able to paint makes me feel as if I gained a second life!
Zoe Perry Wood - Although I started this body of work pre-covid, it became one of my main projects during covid - I had to slow down on the projects that involve photographing people - vegetables are much safer than people during pandemics - especially when they come from your own garden! I branched out to add photographing mushrooms from the mushroom farm share that we have been getting, so these are not my own mushrooms, but i have begun to learn how to grow my own mushrooms as well.
