As part of its public art activation projects, the ArtWalk committee is once again catalyzing intergenerational artists in a project to paint posts.  These posts will be decorating spaces at the Lexington Visitors' Center, Emery Park, and the Munroe Center for the Arts.

Take a walk and see them all!

ARTIST TIPS:

• Use bright colors and bold designs that can be seen from a distance
• Please do not use this opportunity as a way to advertise.  We invite artists to put a small logo or QR code that leads viewers to your website, but we ask that the overall work is seen as "art"
• Painting needs to be waterproof to withstand the elements outdoors.  Some options include:
  • ​Exterior house paint, or outdoor furniture paint
  • Interior house paint with a coat of  sealer
  • Acrylic paint with a coat of sealer
• Be sure to paint post with the bottom with the end that has a hole in it
• Posts will be mounted onto rebar (hence hole) and none of it will be underground.  Posts may be covered in snow however.
