The ArtWalk Committee has organized another community art project for the betterment of our town. During the construction in the Center and while the planters are unable to receive plantings in the heat of the summer, we have brought back the panels that were created for Barrier Art during the pandemic for outdoor eating.
But we need more art!
Sign up here, and come pick up one or more panels to be part of the art along the avenue.

Artists are asked to contribute $11 for up to three panels to help offset materials costs. Please use the Donate button here, or swing by the MCA office with cash/check.

Blank panels of corrugated plastic will be available (while supplies last) for pick up at the Munroe Center for the Arts - just outside the office - up the stairs, and middle of the hallway.
DATES:
JULY 18 (Mon) - Panels are available for pickup
AUG 1 (Mon) - Panels due back for installation on or before this date
SEPTEMBER 9 (Fri) - Panels removed from the display (stored for future use, or returned to artists at their request)
Designs should be bold and colorful, and able to be enjoyed at a distance of 8 feet or more. Panels are 18 x 24", and we have been creating groupings of 3 panels in a triangle shape (either landscape or portrait design), and suggest that if artists are willing to create a triptych with three panels, that makes for a great display.
ARTIST TIPS:
Artwork should be able to withstand wind and rain and bright sunshine. Markers do not work well. House paint and acrylic paint do work well, as does some spray paint. Acrylic paint should be a reasonably high quality, heavy paint (reference).
